Eating in the Dining Hall!

Saying goodbye to your family and friends for the first time may seem devastating, but for some college students, parting from their parent's refrigerator and home cooked meals hurts the most.

The student union is one of the first places you should find when you arrive on campus. Many student unions have places to eat, including dining halls, and a spot open late at night for students to hang out. Now that your parents are not there to cook for you, what are you going to do? Meal programs vary among colleges and you can select different meal plans that match your eating habits. Don’t worry, dining halls offer everything from roast beef, chicken, pizza, spaghetti, cheesy fries, sandwiches, cereal, salad, vegetarian dishes, and yes of course, healthy diet plans. So in the end saying goodbye to your parent’s refrigerator may not be as hard as you think. Nothing beats a home cooked meal, but a meal surrounded by friends in the school cafeteria runs a close second.
